What is the process of building a custom door?

custom doors mississaugaHere at Craftdoor Designers, we utilize the Door–to–Door process in order to ensure that our clients are informed and involved every step of the way—building the finest custom doors in Mississauga and Toronto always has been, and will be a collaboration between our staff and our clients. Craftdoor Designer, founded in 1991, has been following the Door–to–Door process since our inception, as we believe that this process gives us the greatest opportunity to regularly interact and communicate with our clients—building trust and hopefully a long–lasting relationship that will benefit both parties for years to come.

The first step in the Door–to–Door process is meeting with our experts to discuss what your plans are for the customized door. Custom wood doors can vary wildly on their style and design, depending on the wishes of our clients—and no two doors are the same. This step of the process allows our experts to discuss the vision our clients have in mind, and gain a better understanding of what they’re looking for. The second step involves our team presenting our clients with a technical drawing and draft of the design, making sure that all the specs are correct and the design is to their liking. If there are any changes or objections to the design, then all the alterations are discussed and made during this step. The third step involves the client’s approval of the finalized design.

Once the design is approved, the fourth step—production—can begin. Our expert craftsmen will get to work on building the door according to the finalized design, ensuring that everything is done carefully and properly. While this process is ongoing, our fifth step is to continually update and communicate with our clients the progress being made in the production of their custom wood door. We don’t want our clients to feel like they’ve been left out in the cold—so we make sure that there is regular communication between the two parties. Finally, once the door is complete, the sixth and final step is shipping the product. We ship all of our custom doors in our trucks to ensure that delivery is safe and timely—we would hate to spend so much time and effort crafting a door just to have it damaged during delivery.

This six step Door–to–Door process has stood the test of time as well as the approval of our past clients. When it comes to designing and constructing custom doors in the GTA, you can trust Craftdoor Designer to keep you part of the process, every step of the way.
